Agribusiness

Preparing Future Leaders in the Global Food and Agribusiness Economy

Why Agribusiness?

Today鈥檚 agribusiness industry has become highly complex, volatile, and competitive as a result of technology-driven globalization, size and structure of firms, and changing consumer demand. The variety, quality, and quantity of products and services are undergoing strategic transformations in the agribusiness marketplace. The need for specially-trained experts in the competitive landscape of food and agribusiness is rapidly increasing. We need to develop professionals and experts with the knowledge and skills that are vital in helping agri-food sectors and rural economies. Agribusiness provides training in economics and business management principles related to the production, distribution, marketing, and consumption of food and agricultural goods and services.

Ag Business & EducationTestimonials

鈥淎s a freshman, the College of Agriculture has taken great interest in nurturing my passion for agribusiness, by putting me in positions to interact with skilled professionals in agribusiness. My first semester alone, I have attended the Women In Agribusiness Summit and the NOPBNRCSE Conference. As a result of the love, care, and guidance I have received from the College of Agriculture, I have been accepted into both the AFA Food and Technology Institutes, all while landing a three-year paid internship with Monsanto!鈥
